neuroticneurotic and highly medicated my mind is bursting at the seams tendrils of hair invade my thoughts probing nerve endings and forgotten dreamsneurotic
i cannot hear anything coccooned inside the eggshell of my head bees buzz in and out of my ears then change their minds and go dancing instead
im always alone inside of my head my body unattatched im in my head layers of styrofoam pillows and lead layers of arsenic bubblewrap bled
bottled and bubblewrapped insulated consecrated lost and traded forgotten yet hated

its not enoughits not enough the time we spend i cant bear a moment apart from youits not enough
every instant is an ache i feel every inch of distance between us and i am in pain until we are together again
dont you understand that when we are apart its nearly impossible for me to carry on
every movement every word requires an unimaginable effort
my fake smiles are tinged with pain i am an automaton every emotion is faked
i hide the pain of separation deep inside until we are together again and i can hold you

is there really silence all around? can you hear the tiny bugs beneath the ground chewing chewing chewing on the dead? can you hear the mice in the walls behind your head?
can you hear the lost souls screaming in the pit? and listen.. very quietly.. can you hear it?
is it the dead things in the walls? is it the living things under the ground? is it the ringing silence all around?
